To Write Love On Her Arms
“To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.”
Founded in 2006 by Jamie Twrokowski, he originally started to project by selling t- shirts to fund a friends treatment in rehab. A myspace page was started to base the project and has since grown into an international organization.
In it’s first year of existance, TWLOHA opperated under Fireproof Ministries (a non-prof organization), and in 2007 became its own independant non-profit coporation. Based in Central Florida, this organization went from a small way of helping a friend, to an international cause for people to spread awareness, and love, on the topics of depression, suicide, etc.
Numerous bands and musicians have been supporters of this organization and have been sporting their t- shirts for years in hopes of spreading awareness throughout their fanbase. Some of these include: Paramore, Switchfoot, Anberlin, Mayday Parade, Evanescence, The Rocket Summer, Hawthorne Heights, Panic At The Disco, Between The Trees, Underoath, and many more.
