 Florida band #5 Mayday Parade Formed from combinding rival bands in 2005, this quintet from Tallahassee has already made a bold statement in the pop-punk community with just the two records they have to their name. Their EP Tales Told By Dead Friends was released in November of 2006 after the band signed to Fearless Records. Their debut full length A Lesson In Romantics, released in July of ‘07, has taken them from being the under dog on the Ernie Ball Stage at Warped Tour, to headling national tours. Signing to Fearless Records gave them a good footfall for being a new band. The label already established as a high profile pop-punk producer, once A Lesson In Romantics was recorded and released, the only place it could go was plunged straight into the fast growing community that is the rising genre. Mayday Parade’s catchy beats and intriguing lyrics make them impossible to ignore as an up coming headliner and with a new album out this summer, let’s hope they can live up to the hype.
